She’s been enjoying a prolonged stay in New York City as she works on a series of tracks, but Jessie J put her recording commitments on hold for a spot of me time on Friday.

The 25-year-old songstress posted a shot of her reclined body following a massage in the city, and the prolific tweeter couldn’t resist the opportunity to share the experience with her fans – via Instagram.

A caption accompanying the image, in which she is captured face-down and semi-naked, reads: ‘Just had one of the BEST massages I’ve ever had! Me time… I’m going to hurt tomorrow but it was so worth it! #relaxed #nyc #dontaskwhotookthepic #mineyabusiness.’

The cryptic hashtags have since prompted speculation about the mystery cameraman as Jessie remains in New York while she polishes off some yet to be released songs.

One of those tracks, You Don’t Know Me, was recently performed during an intimate gig at the East Coast city’s Rock Wood.

Ahead of performing the track, which she admitted she had yet to sing as she wrote it just two days before, she opened up: ‘Please forgive me if I get this wrong, I’ve never sung it before. It’s called… (pause while she looks down) well I don’t really know.

‘No, it’s called you don’t really know me. And it’s really honest about how I felt in the last year.

‘Fame makes you feel like you have to be happy all the time and people want you to be perfect all the time and sometimes you don’t want to take a photo with someone, sometimes you don’t want to have a conversation with someone and that’s not about being mean, that’s about being human.

‘And that’s the biggest thing that I struggle with that sometimes people need something from me that I don’t have to give and I pretend sometimes that I am OK when I’m not and it makes me feel like I’m going mad and so I wrote this song called You Don’t Really Know Me.

‘And now I really need to get it right because after that introduction if I don’t… f***ing hell.’

After the heartfelt gig a fan asked Jessie on Twitter whether she would be releasing the new track, to which she replied: ‘Don’t know. They are just songs I want to share with my fans.’

The show also included performances of better known songs Nobody’s Perfect, Do It Like A Dude and Domino.
